2007 F-12 non Turbo stability

Looking to possibly buy a "new" 07 F-12 non-turbo for my wife. She needs a stable ski and I couldn't find much info about the F-12. Can you stand one one side of the F-12 without it flipping? Is the stability similar to a Seadoo GTX? Any comments will be welcome.

No problem and brings up another factor. We both weigh about 170 lbs each. How sensitive is the F-12 with one rider and two riders? We have the huge Yamaha SUV but the engine seized and we are pretty much going to scrap it.

Re: 2007 F-12 non Turbo stability

its not bad, im 6'5" 300lbs and i can step one foot on the side and swing the other foot over without a problem. I myself cant stand with all my weight on one side. Its like any ski its something you have to get comfortable on. With one person riding there is absolutely no stability issues at all. With two riders it gets a bit more challenging but you get used to it. I guarntee however that it wont be as stable as the yamaha SUV but i love the F12x.

Re: 2007 F-12 non Turbo stability

I'm 6'00" and 200 pds, and I can stand on one side no problem. It doesn't even lean far enough for the water to start entering the footwells. Now, I will say that if the footwell is full of water it will get a bit tippy, but still I can stand up on that side. I have had no problem with the stability of mine, and the only time its ever even tried to tip over was when I was trying to get it to, but it was still a tall feat. Out of 3 yrs its only been upside down once, and again I was riding it hard and was pretty much wanting it to turn over...

My R-12X have been turned over about 100 times or who know how many. I think it is fun to flip it over espically when you have a chick on it who does not want to get her hair wet but come on what chick rides a ski and does not really want to get wet!

don't do any 180 turns with her on the back and you'll be fine..it's very stable.

MOre stable is an fxho or rxt but they're bigger and heavier i think also.

I'm 5-8, 170 and have stood with both feet on the outside edge of the foot well and pushed off trying to do a back flip (unsuccessfully) and the ski barely moved to that side at all. Love this ski.
