| Polaris 900 1997 engine suddnely kills and LCD Hot light
I've searched this site for any similar problems but have not seen this problem posted as of yet. Any sugestions to my problem? My 1997 SL900 Polaris wave runners water intake hose sprung a leak and the engine took on water. At the time, I temporarily fixed it with a reducer but have since replaced the hose 3/4 OD. During this initial fix, it began to suddenly cut out whe only turning to the right. It progressed to cutting out when even driving straight. It will start back up immediatly and go for an indiscriminent distance and again suddenly cut out. I also noticed at this time the LCD light to display engine HOT sign. This all began when the water intake hose sprung a leak. The engine does not bog down. I still have great RPM. I've also put dry gas in the tank and cleaned out the gas filter. When I place it on the trailer I can't recreate the problem. |
