I just sent my impeller in to SBT for reconditioning

Has anyone else used them for recon impellers? Mine is a 9/17 skat - it was chewed up pretty bad, but all the splines looked good. I will post up the after pics when it comes back.

Big thanks to Newmiller Machine in Oregon for the great work! (Mcn6 on PWCtoday)

hhmmm. i haven't looked in a while, but when initiated it was an exchange and they were not reconditioning your impeller for return to you and only OE stuff. interesting if changed, but i'd guess you would have been a lot better off at impros

Yeah, that is what I read too, but when I called them, they said that they can do AM impellers, just not on an exchange - they fix the one you send them. I guess I am too cheap to send it to Impros... we'll see what it turns out like when I get it back!

Re: I just sent my impeller in to SBT for reconditioning

I will post up pics when I get it back. I don't have a pitch measuring device, but I'm pretty sure I can measure it with a few simple tools - protractor?

That's what the woman on the phone said... she was pretty detailed about the repairs too... said they would straighten and weld the blades, check the outer diameter and repair as necessary... I was impressed to say the least. Now, I will give them time to follow through with the promises. The USPS priority shipping will take 3-5 days to get it there, I am betting 2 weeks + total for turn around.

That is correct we do not rebuild alluminum props at all. But, if anybody has a stainless steel impeller that needs to be fixed we can do it. You just need to send the impeller to us with your name and phone number on the outside of the box and we will call you when we recieve it. We do not fix the splines or threads so make sure they are good before sending the impeller.
