| 94 750sx what carb do i use? Hey first time using the site, my friend introduced it to me. its really helpful and so i was wondering if anyone knew what carb would go good with my r&d pipe on my 94 kawi 750sx and i am using the stock intake manifold because im short on cash and just want a good carb that can bolt onto stock mani or do i have to get rid of the stock mani altogether? all advice welcomed |

| Re: 94 750sx what carb do i use? Lot of options there, you could just re-jet your stocker to match the pipe, get it true-bored to the correct size (by someone like GroupK), I believe the larger Keihin carbs will bolt up to your manifold as well (though some grinding may be required), or you can start getting into bigger aftermarket carbs or duals. I have a Factory Limited pipe on my 750sx, and run it with the stock carb (rejetted)- it pulls pretty strong, but that is the next upgrade I am going to do too.
Alot of it will depend on what you want out of it... are you a freestyle guy, a buoy racer, freerider, weekend rider or what is your flavor?

Big thanks to Newmiller Machine in Oregon for the great work! (Mcn6 on PWCtoday)

| Re: 94 750sx what carb do i use? You can use a Keihin carb without changing the manifold and they go as large as 42mm. Mikuni makes 46mm carbs and they get great reviews with your setup but you would need an adapter to make it work. Here is an adapter that I made with a drill press and a die grinder and it works great. You can buy these and they are usually $50 and need some material removed from the manifold to get good flow.

| Re: 94 750sx what carb do i use? i have a 44mm carb on mine i had to get a new maniflold there is 44mm carb with manifold and k&n filter on ebay for $350 or so
you can also make your own measurements and then use a dremel to bore out the manifold gotta be careful with that |

| Re: 94 750sx what carb do i use? What does your ski have at this point? Impeller is the absolute biggest improvement you can do on most older skis. The 9/17 will give you good low end power, not sure how fast it will go, I am not much of a WFO guy, I like to freestyle and goof around on the lake for the most part, but it will get me into the mid 40 mph range - fast enough to skip a few times if I crash!
