1100 sxi swap started

so far so good, I have the 750 bed plate bolted to the 1100 engine. the 1100 cases have four threaded holes already and they line up perfectly to the 750 bed plate

My machinist is building me a custom drive shaft. it is shorter and has threads that will accept the 1100 large couplers. driveshaft should be completed on monday.

I took apart the 1100 E-box today and plan on stuffing all needed components into a custom box that will bolt into the stock 750 location

HELP!!!!!! I NEED A WIRING DIAGRAM If someone could please post a diagram that would be great...

Re: 1100 sxi swap started

ill look on my other computer for a wiring diagram not sure if I deleted the manual when i sold the zxis... nice work so far!

one suggestion though make sure you have dual cooling and drill and tap the head if your using the stock one so all three cylinders have water outlets on them.. good way to make that 1100 a little more reliable

I'm going to do the same thing, picked up an 1100 today, how much shorter needs
the driveshaft to be?!
Is that a hole what I see in the mid piston?

Re: 1100 sxi swap started

I dont have the exact measurments on me, since i left them with my machinist. the finished new shaft is 325mm i think....the hole in the piston adds power and makes engine easier to start.

Re: 1100 sxi swap started

another, little teaser. I should have my cylinders back from boring and all my parts to assembly new engine. I am going to powder coat the jugs and cases, and bedplate before assembly. fun part will be making triple pipes fit into hull and still have a battery, fuel cell, and waterbox

one of the pipes fits very nice, the others dont wanna have anything to do with a sxi hull.......
