Re: impellar pitch Question

The Fx-1 came with a reported 21/27 aluminum, which flexed alot. Your 20/26 (YC-SC-H) will offer good mid and top end however is aimed at a highly modded engine along with a 19/25 (YC-SC-K) If you are looking for a more bottom end impeller look into a 17/23 (YC-SC-I) recommended for a stock engine to minor mods, and middle of the road for a Limited engine would be a 18/24 (YC-SC-J).

You can always have the trailing edge of the lower pitched props "Kicked" to provide better top speed without sacraficing grunt.

So is a 9/17 too steep for an FX-1 with no mods??

Re: impellar pitch Question

no....if it was the other way as in a higher number it would be worse for a no mod ski...like the 20/26...higher the number the more pawer u want to spin it

Re: impellar pitch Question

I don't know of anyone who makes a 9/17?? I will be trying a 12/17 Solas swirl in my 144 pump. I'd rather have a 9/15 hooker skat but I'm gonna try the swirl out since I have it. Where did u find a 9/17??

Re: impellar pitch Question

Unless it was custom pitched/made, it doesn't exist.

Re: impellar pitch Question

lowest pitch I know of is like a 18/23 or maybe a 17/22. But definately never a 9/17.
