Yeah, way too much fun. Can't wait to test out my 650 pump. Just need to drop my engine back in now.

Yes I love mine too! The best ski ever built! Mine is bone stock and I'm looking to do some mods.

Let us know how the 650 pump works out for you. I've heard this is the first thing to do, even with a stock ski.

I compared my ski side by side with my friend - I have a 144mm SJ pump, he has the stock 122

the hookup and bottom end is far better with the superjet pump, BUT the 122mm pump surprised me with better top end (I do have a WW cone however)

compared to the superjet pump, the stock fx-1 pump feels similar to driving a car with turbo lag

What were both pumps outfitted with impeller wise?

Re: I love FX-1's

both had pretty much stock motors (although mine is a 62t/61x with msd), and both had low tech stainless props -
mine has a blaster stainless prop, and i don't know the the specs on his stainless prop

Re: I love FX-1's

Is it really THAT big an improvement?

I heard about some hooker impeller that is supposed to rock in the FX1 pump. Anyone heard of this?

I want top speed AND low end. Like what my Superjet had.... That thing ripped down low from nothing and would still go 54. I hate to cut into this ski because it is so clean, but I've been reading however and it seams like the pump swap is thing to do...

Re: I love FX-1's

You'll never get the same good low grunt as the 144mm with the 122mm pump no matter what impeller you have.

The 122m is great on top once it gets winding out, but the bottom is weak compared to a 140 Kawi or 144mm Yam. pump.

Do they really make a Wet Wolf freestyle pump cone for the FX-1 pump? I did not know this.
