Hey guys,

as some of you may no.. i need a pole, have been offered a couple but no FX1 ones.. just wandering if an FX1 pole the same as a RN SJ pole, length wise, and/or the cast part at the top of the pole?

For 1996-2007 Superjets, the answer is NO.

For 2008 and up, yes.
The cast piece at the top is different from the earlier Superjets. The FX1 and 2008+ SJ use a short throw steering cable. This makes the pole incompatible with the earlier SJ's.
You can make it work with some rigging and an FX1 steering cable, but you'll lose steering throw.

Square nose superjet handlepoles have a small bracket attachment piece that holds the steering cable in place. The idea is to rivot that part onto a round nose handlepole, then slide the FX1 steering cable through it and then lock it down.

I just scored a deal on an round nose AC pole so I am going this route.
