This is why seadoo hull's break

I have alot of time invested into the investigation of the problem with the seadoo hule's.
This is my finding with pictures.
For one the construction is WAY BELOW par for the horse power output.
Regardless of what they say, as you will see, this INSIDE hule design sucks, and it is just a matter of time before they get burned with a serious suit.
Anyway, here we go with the pictures.

As you can see where the CHEEP styro is, it gives away and starts to ball up.
Notice where I have the 2 arrow's and how they TAPED it together.
Also notice the CHANEL area (2 holes), look and see how much space is there under the styro.

Re: This is why seadoo hule break

Now, if you can beleive this.
There are 2 little areas on the inside part that just GLUE onto
the lower (or outer hule).
This is where the problem is.
After constant pounding, especialy in the surf, the hule will start flexing in the area just forward of those holes. Due to the fact that the STYRO they put in there isn't strong enough.
Thus when the hule starts flexing, the outer SHELL or GEL COAT starts to crack.
Once water gets into the crack between the GEL COAT and SPAYED fiber glass, its all over, and in time will delamenate.

Re: This is why seadoo hule break

I have said this before but Seadoo doesn't make those hulls they are outsourced to another Canadian firm that does them similar to the way fisher makes bodies for General Motors.I do realize regardless of this fact that if the hulls are defective that Seadoo is ultimately responsible for fixing them and that the company that makes the hull should be responsible to BRP for making it right on their end.Your research is very interesting though and you are dead on about the hull flexing having effects on the gel coat exterior.I agree a class action lawsuit is coming if they don't step up and fix this problem.

Re: This is why seadoo hule break

I don't have any problem with my information going to another "site".
Though I would perfer the site to be linked here, its not a big deal.
BTW
I just pulled the styro, HOLY CR@P is all I can say.
I will post pics when I get the chance.
