Rev Limiter Part Number question (587 Yellow)

The rev limiter in my 1990 SP went bad (I had a no spark condition with rev limiter hooked up and the ski ran when I disconnected the rev limiter). So I ordered two on eBay that supposedly came from running 89 SPs. The two arrived and are visually identical but they each have a different part number. One is part number 866 958 (this number matches the one that came out of my ski and the one in my friend's 1990 SP). The other is part number 911 580. Did they change part numbers mid-year in 1989? Or is one or the other incorrect? Will either or both of these work for my application?
