Gauge disassembly/repai

The info center gage on my GTX has a loose wire. I need to open the gauge to acces it. How are these gauges opened/disassembled?

Thanks,

Victor

Re: Gauge disassembly/repai

You pry off the metal ring that holds the lens to the body. Once off the innards come out.

Use some sealer when putting it back together.

Re: Gauge disassembly/repai

There is a great article about this subject over at Sea Doo net. com

It was written by one of his customers about 6 years ago or more. It is very detailed and informative.

Re: Gauge disassembly/repai

If you use a dremel with a really small cutting wheel you can angle cut all the way through the ring in one spot then "unwind" it off the gauge, you can reuse the ring without messing it all up. Just be careful not to cut the lens!
