Anyone familiar with these aftermarket sponsons?

I can't find any info on these sponsons. They have adrenalin racing on the blades and the holes match up perfectly to my beach house sponsons and backing plates for my 99 XPL. These do not have front or rear backing plates. Do they require them? If so, could I machine a set of backing plates exactly like the beach house has to make them complete and usable? Any advice/info you guys have will be greatly appreciated. I can't seem to get a pic to upload. I will email to anyone who wants to see it or anyone who can post it for me. Thanks for your patience

Not sure witch ones you have but if you don't run backing plates you will rip the sponsons out of the hull.Making a set would be the way to go.

Re: Anyone familiar with these aftermarket sponsons?

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. The person I bought them from was trying to convince me they bolted directly to the hull with large washers. I wasn't born last night that I remember. Only paid 4 bucks for them so I don't mind making the additional parts, I just want them installed correctly. Would you recommend both the front and rear backing plates like I have on my beach house sponsons?

I'm not sure what they look like but I would mount them like all the rest on the market. My kid mounted his with washers and tore big holes is his XP now he has the aluminum plates and has no more problems.

Re: Anyone familiar with these aftermarket sponsons?

your pics are not up. but I have a set of agressor 2k sponsons that bolt up to the hull w/o backing plates. if those are the same, then , they have an angle on the back of them already. that may affect their performance if you add a backing plate. maybe make a thin plate?

I dont think any of them ever came with backing plates new...mostpeople used big washers. I've seen some ugly pix though, so both my skis got some nice aluminum backing plates.
