Service NOW...or in the Spring?

I have an 03 GTX 4-TEC (not supercharged) and an 05 RXT. Both are coming up on a hundred hour interval (194 hours and 104 hours respectively).

Seeing that I am not mechanically inclined (to put it lightly) am I better off have the 100 hour service (on the RXT) done NOW along with being winterized OR should I wait until the spring?

On the GTX since it is not supercharged, is the recommendation still to have a service done every 100 hours.

(an employee at the SeaDoo dealership where they are going to be winterized said "in the Spring," but she didn't exactly inspire confidence, if you know what I mean)

Thanks

Do the supercharger now with the newest BRP kit containing metal clutch washers. May as well do the oil/filter/spark , plugs, and fogging while it's torn apart. I wouldn't let a dealer do the SC, I'd get it done by a professional or do it myself. Try greenhulk.net for the 2008 rebuild kit/install of the SC.

Do it now because PWC techs are not doing much. Don't wait till it is about ready for the season to start.

Re: Service NOW...or in the Spring?

If you ride in salt the oil should be changed now . or if the oil is old the oil should not be left to sit over the winter .
DOWN TIME is the best time to get work done BUT make sure who ever you have do it will stand behind the work in the spring and not give you a warranty that is up in 3 months as the ski sits in the garage .
