Talking Question

Is it at all worth it to remove the stock airbox on an rxp 215 and do an aftermarket intake system? Are there any gains from doing so and for the money is it worth it? I would like to keep the machine reliable but would not mind spending a few dollars to make some improvements.

Re: Question

Not on is own really, If you do a s/c upgrade then its worth doing the air filter but on a stock ski better off spending the money on gas!
What rpm are you running now? if over 8000rpm hooked up its fine if under 8k then could need some work. If the ski is dry on the inside you can pull the air hose off the intake side of the s/c and do a short run and see ir the rpm increases at all, you might gain slightly but wont feel the gain as such.

Do a stage 1 kit... It really wakes the ski up.

You can find the parts used on www.greenhulk.net cheaper than buying new.

Stage 1 kit includes,
Air Intake
14/19 Prop
Intake grate.
and pump wedge.... The wedge really isn't needed however.

You can find the air intakes and props used pretty readily. Just make sure you get an untouched (not Repitched) prop.

Also... Read up on GH about filling the Ride plate holes... This is good for an extra MPH.

With my plate holes filled and stage 1, i was running ~72 on GPS on Glass.
