Pull the trigger on an 05 RXP?

There's a local seller with an 05 RXP and trailer, asking $5000 for it. It has very low hours (around 30), and I am thinking about driving to look at it either today or tomorrow.

My only experience on a ski was owning a ZXi 1100 some years back, as well as a Wave Venture 1100. I'm a big guy at 6'2" and around 260lbs.

I have never been on a ski with a supercharger, but these RXP's look very nice. What are some things I need to look at on this "bone stock" RXP, no mods done to it at all. It's been in fresh water only.

I may be able to talk down the price a little as well, but basing things on book value alone, it sounds like a good deal.

Re: Pull the trigger on an 05 RXP?

Haha!

Well I just struck a deal with the owner, I'm going to pick it up...it's actually at the Sea Doo dealership right now, the guy took it in to trade it for an ATV but they wouldn't come down on the price for the ATV, so he just wants the cash for the RXP. He said they did a compression check, and complete inspection on the ski, and invited me to talk with the techs to ask them about it. He's the original owner, bought it new in 2006...all paperwork, etc.

Too good of a deal to pass up really...

I'll throw some pics on here as soon as I get it tomorrow. I'm sure I will be much more of an active member here now...registered last year, just haven't had a ski to post about!

An 05 RXP with 30 hours for $5k isn't going to sit on the market long, so I had to jump...not to mention I got it for less than his asking price.

I have been reading through here about the washer issues, and this will be the first thing I tackle.

Thanks

Good news is that the seller already had the SS washers done to the SC (with paperwork included), so now I just get to boogey
