Ok... I need some help with SC washers!!!!

I have an 07 GTX Limited. I ordered some RIVA sc washers... I ask if they would dealer to install these washer. when they get back to me they tell me that BRP suggeested that they shouldn't do it without installing a new SC kit due to a problem with bearings.

I thought all I needed to be good was the washers!! Somebody please help and explain.... Is BRP just trying to make more money or what is going on?

Thanks

if the ski has low hours just replace the washers. If its done over 100-150 hrs It would be wise to replace the shaft and bearings. If you are able to remoe the unit yourself there are good guys to send it to who will rebuild it for a good price.

Re: Ok... I need some help with SC washers!!!!

Well I only have 9.5 hours on it. I was taking it to get the 10 hour service on it so I thought I could get them to change the washers as well. But they kept telling me that they didn't want to do just that. I really don't know what washers I'm talking about.

I'm not mechanically inclined at all. I don't trust myself taking the SC out. Anyone in the Atlanta area maybe want to help?

Thanks
Kevin

IOW, I don't want to do it without selling you a $400 kit. I'll pass. Get another dealership

Ok... I went on up to the dealership and showed them the washers and the instructions on it and they are going to do it for $100. I believe they were just misunderstanding what I was asking them to do over the phone. They were really nice and helpful once we were on the same page. Thanks for the input and info
