Re: Oil Type?

Whoops !!! Jason, R U saying I should not run synthetic in my s.c. motor ? What oil should I use ? And while on the subject what about filters. I haven't seen anything for sale but the paper jobs like the factory ones. Will they be ok regardless of mfg. or is there a particular one ??

Thanks !!

Re: Oil Type?

only semi synthetic brp oil or amsoil makes a synthetic that can run but any others are bad for the supercharger clutch.
I have only used genuine filters as not worth risking unknown brands.

Re: Oil Type?

Here is the information on the AMSOIL 10w-40 Synthetic Marine Oil. The AMSOIL is safe for the supercharger washers. You should be able to run the Mobil 1 Motorcycle oil that is safe for motorcycle transmissions. Do not use the car oil.
