Knowledge can be scary

The more I read on this threads the more I worry about my Sportster. I thought it was bad enough that I was dealing with wear ring issues. Now I've been reading about SC (super chargers) blowing up and make my motor a piece of junk. Why does everything seem to require an aftermarket improvement? No wonder the companies of this world are in such trouble. Seems they can't get anything right.

It is 100% probability your supercharger will destroy your engine. If it has ceramic washers, it is going to happen. Change them to metal. and its not every company, yamaha doesnt have to do anything to their skis to make them run right.

Just get them fixed, sent both super chargers to jerry at greenhulk.net and he will hook you up for cheap.

Hey Tor*p*do,

My 500 waverunner was just like that one in the photo. Wish I still had it and running. The kids loved it better BECAUSE it wasn't so powerful as the new 155hp I bought to replace it.

J rod, I hope it lasts for another few weeks when I can pull it out of the water and get these things done. It doesn't have but about 50 hours on it and half of that is at 2500-3000 rpm. The rest is under 7000.

Keep it out of where the supercharger kicks in and you should be good. Im telling you jerry will hook you up for cheap and he will do it right. THen you wont have anything to worry about after that.

I'll have to find out more info on how to get it to Jerry where ever he is. Can UPS ship the whole boat and trailer? LOL

Re: Knowledge can be scary

Since its Super Charger and not a turbo charger isn't it always "kicked in"? Or is that what the clutch washer do?
