hello everyone, bought me a used bombardier and I don't know how much engine oil it takes. I am replacing the filter as well.

Typically 3 - 3.5 qts. Start with 3 qts, and go from there. DO NOT fill it to the top bend, no higher than half way between the two bends on the dipstick and make sure you follow the procedure for checking the oil, it's listed on the cover.

BEST time to change oil is immediately after you come back from skiing!!
The oil will come out MUCH faster and more will come out!!

i just changed the oil and and ran it with water, when i shut it down it showed that it needed more and now it wont crank. it looks like i put to much oil.i did siphon a quart out and the dip stick is in the middle. what did i do wrong help

You put in too much oil. Only proper way to get an accurate reading on the dipstick is with a properly warmed up motor and that is hard to accomplish on a hose. Just make sure the level is correct before you change it and put in exactly what you take out.

Ok. What I did was ran the water first then I started engine which caused it to flood the cylinders. Lesson learned. Run engine then run water.
