215 /255 motor

what is the difference between the two motors ,was looking at specs and the cc and bore and stroke all seem to be the same ,

0k so i just picked up a 04 rxp 215 and looks like it was a supercharger washer issue back piston and head look like pieces got in the cylinder ,so if i need to get a new head and hone the cylinder was wondering if i can get a head off a 255 hp motor and i think this has a intercooler also ,,just got ski and haven't really looked at it yet ,but the head was off and looks like i need to maybe replace it also ,

no the parts aren't interchangable.get the 215 parts.

you can use a 255 head but need to run the 04 rocker shaft to keep oil system right.
The s/c washers dont cause piston damage unless timing chain broke more likely a rusty valve broke.

i'll try to look at it today ,what im trying to do is find the extra 40 horses and while the head is off and didnt know if it was a cam or head work or something with the supercharger to make it 255 hp,any other info would be great ,this is my first 4 stroke so looks like im statring all over again ,

well so far i have a 1000 into it ,right now looks like i need a new piston and the head needs to be looked at ,figured while it was apart i would try to get some more horses out of it ,willing to go another 1000 or so
