05 Rxt Engine running hot ?!

Hi , this ski seems to have a motor running too hot , the lower end sizzles if i throw water on it (where other skiis motors' don't) and the heat build up is robbing performance .
Any ideas as to what could be causing the motor to run hotter than normal , I have changed oil cooler , antifreeze , thermostat and thermostat housing just incase there was a problem with the housing .Water impellor is also fine .

standard or modified engine? you can get a cooler thermostat for modofied engines, what is the water temp where you are? and does the ride plate get hot and have you flushed the rideplate as this is the heat exchanger for the motor.

Re: 05 Rxt Engine running hot ?!

The motor is standard , I have replaced antifreeze and the thermostat , the water temp isn't really a problem because all the other skiis run fine here , this ski also has very low hours so I don't think there would be a problem with the heatexchanger . Compared with other skiis the engine temp on the head is the same but the lower part of the motor is about 20 degrees celcius hotter than on the other skiis . I dont know what would cause this , and like I say the extra heat is robbing performance .
