Winterizing

Ok I live in South Ga, and while it gets cold here it'll never be too cold over a week or so, how long can the ski sit without being rode without winterizing? I'd imagine it would be ok for a few weeks?

Re: Winterizing

Just fog it after each use if you wont be using it for a few weeks at a time.
Yamaha actually recomend fogging if it wont be used for a week or more.

Re: Winterizing

Nothing....just go ride it!

My FXHO gets fogged at the end of a weekends ride when I don't know when I'll be out again. Never had an issue with a fouled plug........I get over 100hrs out of them too...although I believe using good quality fuel helps stop them fouling.

Re: Winterizing

Is this only true for 4 strokes?

I would use yamaha, but it is not available here.
I use starbrite or quicksilver.......both work well.......... quicksilver is thicker & is probably better to use if the ski will be laid up for a long time,
