Not ready for Winter !!!!

Well I am not ready for winter. I just bought an 03 FX140 a few weeks ago and have only been able to take a few quick rides in horribly bad chop and cool conditions. Well it's friday, the weather is great, 75 degrees, no wind. Well what to do, work or call a friend and go riding. Go riding of course. We decided to take a cruise in the Mobile River Delta. We started to just take it easy but it turned out to be more fun to just run the twisties at WOT. This time of year the boat traffic is light so we couldn't resist. There is one river that we rode called Byrnes Lake is about 30 foot wide and has a 180 turn about every 150 yards. This is where they filmed one of the Friday the 13th movies. My buddy has an 06 Kawi Ultra 150 which is a great machine. I thought I would be out gunned by the Ultra 150 but I was pleasantly surprised how quick the FX140 actually is. On top end runs it is only slightly faster. If I tilt the handle bars down, shift my weight to the rear and trim the nose up I could hit 58 - 60. Great fun.
