fx140 oil filter

hey all i bought a new oil filter for my fx and the one i picked up is a K&N oil filter..but im confused to tpieces accompanying the filter. it had a mounting plate, large screw(oil plug?) and two long screws for the mounting plate. are these just extra pieces? i was goin to just unscrew the current air filter but seeing the hardware with the the K&N filter made me think twice. is the oil filter oni a fx140 held in by long screws or is it just theded into the block like a standard filter?

Re: fx140 oil filter

Just like a standard filter...no extra hardware. Double check you got the right size. Another cross reference you may want to check is the Yam MR-1 motorcycle engine.
