FX HO models: 2007, 2008, or 2009?

I'm narrowing my choices here, mostly interested in the FX Cruiser HO. I think I read that the new hull (Nanoxcel?) showed up with the 2008 models... in general, is there a good reason to choose one of these model years over the others? It looks like I may be able to find brand new versions of any of these model years...

Thanks in advance for any help...

Re: FX HO models: 2007, 2008, or 2009?

The 07 has an SMC hull, 1052 cc motor
The 08 has nano hull & had quite a few 'under the skin' improvements, 1052 cc
The big differance with the 09 is the motor.......1800cc or thereabouts.

upto 08 will get you to around 57-59mph stock...... the 09, around 63 mph, & will get there alot quicker.
The trade off, of course is fuel consumption. Upto 08 has a range of approx 120 miles, the 09 just under 100 miles. I believe.

The 09 also has an electronic throttle, with cruise control, no wake mode etc.

What prices are you looking at?

07 HO here. No complaints. I did some bolt on mods that got me 2 / 3 mph at the most. I'm very happy with 60 ish and most importantly for me it sips fuel. As many have said the MR1 engine is bullitproof.
