FX HO Blown Engine (Worst Ever)

2006 FX HO 35hrs and here s what is left of the engine.
Head and block are completely destroyed. Cylinder to rear dropped the rod fo some reason. No marking on th 4 cylinder bores.
Oil pump is locked up but i think this is due to chunks of the block getting in there. Only thing i can attribute it to is hydrolock. Owner said it was capsized and took ages to right it
Amazingly the crank is undamaged.

Here are pics of this lump of junk

Water in the cylinders.........water will not compress, so with the valves closed, on the compression stroke, the con rod usually bends............BANG!

Re: FX HO Blown Engine (Worst Ever)

Hydrolock is when water invades your engine and the compression in the cylinder is so great it gets "stuck" and won't go through its stroke. It's truly lethal to a four stroke.
