Smile Could this be right !!!!

I have a 05 VX 110

I fitted a Solas 18/22 impeller
R&D intake grate,
R&D pump seal kit,
and removed air filter altogether

my ski now showing and doing 64-65 mph compared to 54/55 before
difference of approx 9 mph from the stock items!!!!!!!

am now delighted with the ski as it has improved initial take off and handling also.

Re: Could this be right !!!!

thats why its called a "dream-o-meter" you needs to either GPS it or radar it to get real speeds.. i would say with those mods you would gain 2-5 mph.. and be running in the mid 50's ..... the speedomters are off anywhere from 3-7 mph or more...

Re: Could this be right !!!!

The speedo's on these ski's are not near accurate. If it is that importanat to you, GPS it so you really know the correct speed. I have an 07FX HO with K/N filter , riva stacks , free flow exaust, R/D intake and ride plate and I dont break 63, 64

Re: Could this be right !!!!

his clock is also a dream-o-meter.... all the speedo's on ski's are just a magnetic wheel that water passing by spins and gets a speed reading based on revolutions... VERY rare that they are correct, they always read faster, so riding next to him will also be a false speed only a GPS or radar gun will get an accurate reading.

Re: Could this be right !!!!

I agree, its not a correct speed, the very best we have ever done on a vx is 54 briefly on teh buzzer, calm water, 140 pound rider, wind at back..lol.. just once, most times were at 52 best, i know of no vx that has went better than 56 gps with mods and stuff.
