Arrow Check out this air filter for the VX110...

What are your opinions of this?

vs

Would it make sense to run the air filter right off the t/b?

Re: Check out this air filter for the VX110...

They didnt bother to post any HP gains/MPH increase for their unit vs the stock filter so I have my doubts. Its real easy to call the stock filter restrictive and then imply that yours is not, but any type of filter by its very nature has to have some restriction to it. And even if it was less restrictive, you would only notice it at WOT. So you have to ask yourself how often you are riding at WOT. Me personally, not a lot. Maybe about 10%.

On the other hand, $70 of gas would buy me about 3 days out on the water.......nice.

IMO

Open stock box, remove air filter, throw filter in garbage, replace lid, call it a day & use the $ you saved for gas.

Well I plan on changing my air filter in the next oil change, I saw that the price difference between this filter and OEM is like $10

Read this post(MY VX110 Home made Air Intake) and did something similar. Saved money in the process, no problems.

I'm wondering. Is it actually an air filter or a water deflector?
