STX-15F Bottom End Repair?

Need to replace a pushrod on an '04 STX-15F (cylinder # 4). The parts listing show two different part numbers:

13251 SKU: 13251-3702-II, ROD-ASSY-CONNECTING,I
13251A SKU: 13251-3702-JJ, ROD-ASSY-CONNECTING,J

Anyone know if there's a difference between these two parts? If so, how can I tell which one I need?

Difference - Weight (very little, in grams)

Which one to use - Whatever the letter your original rod has - look in the middle, there would be a single letter. But one letter apart is no problem. For example, if your orginal rod has J, it's OK to use either I or K. BTW, it's not a pushrod, it's a con-rod. Normally the pushrod refers to a rod that pushes valves up and down in OHV engines. 15F is an OHC engine and there is no pushrod.

Re: STX-15F Bottom End Repair?

Thanks for the info.. and for the correction. I should have known that, but it's been quite some time since I've taken apart a 4-stroke motor... started earning enough to buy working cars and boats. The term just stuck in my head, but now I remember the pushrods being the long thin rods that push up on the rocker arms.
