Kawi Supercharger?

My roommate is in Richmond this weekend visiting his girlfriend, and her dad let him take his 250X out on the James River this afternoon. I just got a call from him out on the river saying he thinks he blew the supercharger. He has a GP1200 and an SHO, so he knows his way around skis, but like me, he is mostly unfamiliar with Kawasakis. He says it was running great and then he backed off to idle as he was looking at something on shore. When he tried to hit it again, the boost gague is reading 2 lbs and even that isn't kicking in until about 6000 revs. He swam under the ski to check the impeller just in case, but nothing there. Any ideas what could have happened? Are blown S/C's a problem on 250's? Any other ideas?

First off what year is his ski and also how many hours. Could be as simple as a loose exhaust hose to snapped SC belt. Go to this page and register and ask away!!

If the boost gauge is getting a reading, I would lean towards a hose that blew off, but a little pressure is still able to get into the motor. If it wasn't producing anything by the gauge then I would lean towards a supercharger.
