Honda feedback

What's the gauge on Aquatraxes? I've seen very little in these forums, but I'd like to know how they compare to the rest. I just saw one this weekend and looked zoomy (turbo something). Guy said it cost him $10K, which is not bad and compares well to normally aspirated skis.

I'm thinking of trading in my 12f for a 15f, but for the price I could consider a turbo if it's reliable. I've heard all kinds of bad things about supercharged skis, that's why I'm leaning towards a 15f.

Any feedback?

Re: Honda feedback

I ride with a guy thats got in the high 300 hours on an 02 12Turbo. It sunk in the ocean around the 100 hour mark, when the seat popped off. It did ingest water thru the snorkle like air intake, after we got it on the trailer. But, we went at it for 90 minutes, and fired her up. So I would give it good marks for reliability.

It's a fun pwc. Very similar to the 15F. But, must tail land when jumping. Uses high test gas, but is a sipper, not a gulper.

Not a good cruiser, but neither is the 15F.

I would not trade my 15F for one, but it's very close.

Yep. I know a guy who works at Honda Motors designing dept in Torrance CA and he told me that years ago in designing stage of their first pwc (early 2000's), they bought Kawi's 12F and 15F and copied from them as much as they could. They copied so much even their model codes are so similar like F12 and F15!
