Is this a good deal OTD on new 08 STX-15f ???

I have a dealer offering a new 08' leftover out of the crate for $5998 internet special blowout price.
OTD was $8150 with trailer

Here's the breakdown...
New comfab trailer...$799
Destination... $489
Prep...$189
Doc...$199
Tax...475.86

These damn fees add up. and wondering if they are legitimate?

Anyway...
Looks like the salesman will get my offer to his boss and most likely do $8000 even with the 1st oil change thrown in. I even tried an extended warranty thrown in but he said forget it quickly and this was as good as a deal I'm getting.

Is $8000 a good deal OTD with trailer?

Any issues with this model ski such as recalls or mechanical problems?
This STX-15F seems to have everything I'm looking for in price, performance and features next to some Yamahas and Hondas I'm more familiar with.
Thanks!

The Doc fee is horse poop. But otherwise, a good deal...

A dealer in Sumter, SC has some 15F's for $6000. Don't pay any BS fees.
( Doc, prep, destination.....Heck that is almost $1000)

I have seen a few dealers selling 2008's for $6000-6200 with no addition fees. Of course
you will have your 7% tax in Georgia.

Re: Is this a good deal OTD on new 08 STX-15f ???

Best OTD prices posted for 08's during May thru July of last year were $7,200 - $7,300.

That said, no two area's or dealers are the same. In some cases you may need that dealer. But, last year I paid $200 more on a MC to support a dealer I liked, and he went out of business last week.....

A couple of points;

Yacht Club and Karavan make the best Galvy trailers. They might be up to $700. But, dealer is probably still doing well at $600. Triton the best Aluminium. Used trailers are an option. Take a look at your local Craigs list. Also, you might want to consider a small boat trailer instead if you plan on salt water use. Longer tounge keeps the vehicle out of the salt water.

Extended warranties for Kawi need to be purchased before the original expires in one year. Available on ebay at best price. Look it up, and offer that price only if you want. But, I woud wait 11.8 months....

That seems like a good price. I wish I had waited two years before I bought mine. Prices have tanked since i bought mine.

all of those fees are included in the cost of the machine from kawasaki. DONT EVER PAY DOC, FREIGHT, SET UP, OR DESTINATION. he basically quoted you cost on the unit is relying on gettin you to pay those fees to make any money. i would be willing to bet he wont sell it unless you pay those fees.

Not really that great. My buddy just bought that same boat here in KS for 6400+ tax OTD. You're getting ripped with those fees.

Paid $6350 + tax (no additional fees) and that included a Kawasaki cover. '08 leftover. No trailer.

Why? Didn't you get two years of enjoyment out of your ski? I mean sure there are lots of things I should not have purchased ..............like the 500 bucks per hour "lady" that I met at the bar a few years back. But ohhhhhhhhh the memories!!!!!!
