2007 12F Key On But No Display

Am new to jet skiing and bought a 2007 12F a couple of weeks ago. It runs great and am having a lot of fun with it. Wanted to go out today and tried to start it while still at home. When I turned to key on, it beeped and the display turned on as normal. After about 5 seconds, the display went dead and it's still dead after turning the key on and off several times. The engine doesn't crank when you hit the start button. The battery voltage is 12.6 volts so it's not that. The manual shows a main 20 amp fuse in the engine compartment but I can't locate it. Any suggestions?

Re: 2007 12F Key On But No Display

So, you are saying there are 2 problems now?
1. No meter display
2. No cranking

If so, disconnect the meter wire connectors from the main harness. There 3 meter connectors:
> 2 pin
> 4 pin
> 5 pin

Once you disconnect all those 3, try to start engine. Bad meter (water got in there) can cause other problems but no cranking is very unusual.

Re: 2007 12F Key On But No Display

Thanks for the suggestion about disconnecting the meter. I'll keep it in mind for the future. The problem was a corroded 20 A fuse holder. The fuse holder was not attached to its bracket and was laying in the bilge. I replaced the fuse holder and secured it to the bracket and everything is fine now. Thanks again for the reply
