2006 STX-15F Intermittent starting

I have an 2006 Kawasaki STX-15F with a starting problem. Normally the ski starts up and runs fine all day but sometimes when I shut it off it will not restart. It turns over fine but wont crank. If I turn off the master and turn it back on sometimes it will start right up other times I may need to wait 2-5 minutes. Once it decides to start it runs fine. I have noticed it happens more often on days it has been spun around and had water splash over the nose. My guess is somethings getting wet, ANY IDEAS????

Re: 2006 STX-15F Intermittent starting

There are connectors called joint connectors along the wiring harness. They're a female plug with a male cap that has jumpers in it to connect multiple wires with the same function.
I got water in one and had an intermittent starting problem. Contact cleaner and dielectric grease has kept it from reoccuring.
