Bought the 08 version last year when my 97 GP1200 was giving me a lot of trouble. I like mine very much and it has been trouble free. You get the same engine as in the more expensive Kawasaki skis but the older hull design which was not a concern to me.

Takes a lickin, and keeps on.......

ERRR ahhh, Don't want a copyright infringment.....

You can beat the snot out of it, and then repeat, repeat, repeat, ....well you get the idea...

Just be sure you want a fun pwc, because if you want a chop cruiser, this is not the choice !

Chop cruiser or not, you can't beat the price. I've been very happy with mine. OK so I can't always keep up with my buds Ultra, but its not like he's leaving me in the dust.

Re: 09 stx15f jetski opinion/review

Absolutely love mine. Bought an 09 this spring, and I've got 35 hours on it already. The only things I dislike are:
-reverse lever should really be on other side
-fuel capacity could be larger. It's not bad, but I only get about 1.5 hours of continuous riding from full to the last bar/warning idicator. Of course, that's 1.5 hours of flogging it, so I'm sure I could get more if I was a little easier on the throttle, but what fun would that be.

The power is absolutely amazing, and I've had several friends ride it that have older 2 stroke skis, and they were just blown away by it. The biggest thing is how fast it is from a dead stop. One review I read said 2 seconds from 0-30, and I definitely believe it. It is a little rough on moderate-large chop, but that's the tradeoff you get for a great handling ski. You can somewhat solve that with shifting your weight to the rear of the unit, when riding by myself, I'll sit almost to the 3rd seat. The handling is great, and if you're not careful, you can end up launching yourself off the ski when doing hard cornering.

Re: 09 stx15f jetski opinion/review

BUY IT!!!

Absolutely bullet proof. I have 130hrs on my 2006. Changed the oil 5 times. Nothing has broke on it so far, knock on wood. It would lock up on occasion and not start but the problem has not occured in quite awhile and its always started after waiting 5 minutes.

I ride with all supercharged boats. Sometimes I need a set of binoculars to find out where my buds with the stage I's went but for the most part, I am still around.

Its fun to holeshot them sometimes.

The best thing I like about it is that it is great on gas. RANGE IS GOOD. Its fun towing in a supercharged boat in once in awhile.

If I had to do it all over again, I would buy the STX version. I ended up taking off the reverse, boarding step and have since added UMI steering, Solas impellor, Beach House sponsons and R&D ride plate and breather.
