| Re: 09 stx15f jetski opinion/review Absolutely love mine. Bought an 09 this spring, and I've got 35 hours on it already. The only things I dislike are:
-reverse lever should really be on other side
-fuel capacity could be larger. It's not bad, but I only get about 1.5 hours of continuous riding from full to the last bar/warning idicator. Of course, that's 1.5 hours of flogging it, so I'm sure I could get more if I was a little easier on the throttle, but what fun would that be.
The power is absolutely amazing, and I've had several friends ride it that have older 2 stroke skis, and they were just blown away by it. The biggest thing is how fast it is from a dead stop. One review I read said 2 seconds from 0-30, and I definitely believe it. It is a little rough on moderate-large chop, but that's the tradeoff you get for a great handling ski. You can somewhat solve that with shifting your weight to the rear of the unit, when riding by myself, I'll sit almost to the 3rd seat. The handling is great, and if you're not careful, you can end up launching yourself off the ski when doing hard cornering. |
