where is the warmest water?

I am sick of riding in my snow melt run off lake and it being like 0 degree water. Anyone know where there is any water around sacramento that is warm enough to stay alive in?

Rough and Ready Island in the Delta is always the warmest in terms of water temps. Here is a link for the water temps on the Delta. They are all between 45 and 50 degrees: http://www.lauritzens.com/water/Water.shtml

Re: where is the warmest water?

try clearlake, only 2 hours away and the lake is only 30 feet so it stays very warm, it gets up to the high 70's in the summer, i would imagine its around the high 50's or low 60's now

Clear Lake is nice in the early year. later in the summer the lake turns green from the algea that grows because its so shallow. thats where "Green Lake" came from..

in some areas it gets so bad it looks like grass on the water

Re: where is the warmest water?

yeah the lake is never clear, it is always greenish, but its the trade off with the warm water
theres only a few places in the lake where it gets too green and stacks on top of the water, mostly its just in the water and not too bad, you get used to it after a while, its good for your skin, or atleast think it is
