| Riding places Hi everyone,
Welcome to the Complete List of Riding Places in NORCAL and everywhere else too. Please post your favorite riding places here with details if you can.
To keep things organize please include the following information in your treads: 1. Name of the place:
This should be the official name of the place. You can include its nickname after the official name. The Official Name should be BIG and BOLD at the very top, this way is easy to find when scrolling the treads. 2. Full address:
Full address that can be easily copied and pasted into Google Maps to easily find the area. You do not have to go to extra lengths and post the actual Map but if you can that would be really cool..... 3. Details:
Do they have a website? Phone number? What to expect at the Marina....is the guy a Jerk? .....How much $$$ to Launch? Any restaurants around? Any Tips?
These treads should be updated regularly as people gather more information about them. e.g. Change of Marina owners, New restaurant, Tips, etc....
Anthony,
Can you modify these treads as you see fit? Please send him a PM with the tread that needs to be updated.
Thanks everyone for your input.
Peace Out !!
Kraqus

| Re: Riding places Pittsburg Marina
51 Marina Boulevard Pittsburg, CA 94565
This is their website: http://www.pittsburgmarina.com/pittsburg/marina/
This is the Launch area and it's FREE: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie...01684&t=h&z=19
The RED circle is the Launch Pier.
The GREEN Circle is all game as also are the sloughs in the GREEN Square.
The YELLOW lines show the path of the Yachts that come out every 30 minutes or so.
This is a Cool Fresh water spot. Sometimes is windy and choppy, others glassy. You can have a lot of fun if you like jumping boat wake. There are huge Yachts that come out of the adjacent marinas. There is a beach by the Antioch Marina launch ramp, we hang out there sometimes waiting for the Yachts to come and chase them all the way to Pittsburg.
This is a Fun place and having a FREE launch ramp makes it worth the drive.
We usually hit this inexpensive Mexican Restaurant around the Marina.
It's called New Mecca: http://www.yelp.com/biz/new-mecca-cafe-pittsburg-2

115 Embarcadero E Oakland, CA 94606
This is the website where the Boat Ramp is: http://www.oaklandstrokes.org/AboutUs.php?ics=b1
This is the Launch Ramp and is FREE: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...02366&t=h&z=19
The RED circle is the Launch Pier.
The YELLOW RIGHT leads towards the Bay. Great views of the Bay bridge and Golden Gate Bridge. Water gets choppy at the entrance of the canal and you may get a Tug boat or two if you are lucky.
The YELLOW LEFT leads towards the Coast Guard Island and the canal connecting to the San Leandro Bay.....glassy waters !
This is a Salt water spot. There are ferries that come out of Alameda and go back and forth to Pier 39 in SF and they are great to chase......stay back 100 feet !!!
Famously known is the Banana Boat for its huge wake:
Usually after riding we hit Park Avenue in the Alameda which is full of restaurants. This one is a great Taqueria: http://www.yelp.com/biz/taqueria-ram...d-sons-alameda

13646 Monarch Bay Dr San Leandro, CA 94577
This is the Launch Ramp and it's FREE: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...02371&t=h&z=19
The RED circle is the Launch Ramp.
The GREEN square a nice lagoon with glassy water.
The YELLOW arrows is all Game
This is a Salt water spot.
It is a cool spot specially the tiny Lagoon if you have a powerful ski and want to practice some freestyle tricks off your own wake.
You can do some riding going outside the protected Marina but Boats are non-existent so no Wake jumping...
I would go here Mid week just to get a quick fix and my ski wet....LOL!
There is a park right next to the Lagoon to BBQ and that makes it a PLUS for a day out with the Family and taking your ski for a ride while flipping Hamburgers....

| Re: Riding places Are you able to ride full speed in the San Leandro Marina lagoon? I plan to use this area for tuning at some point. How about the depth in the lagoon? Is the depth safe to ride in?
