Noob needs help again...lol

Is there anything Ill need to get this pipe (link below) on my 97 RN? They talked about having to "match" the gaskets on a 701, Im not sure what that means... Help! Otherwise you fast guys will have to wait for me to catch up on my stock ski when we go ride. Thanks - Jimmy

Re: Noob needs help again...lol

ya this pipe is not a direct bolt on for your ski. this pipe i believe was designed for a 650 engine but can be easily modified for a 61x 701 cyl. the shape of the exhaust ports on the 650 and 61x 701 cyls are shaped a lil different. your ski should have a 62t cyl which has a somewhat different port design from the 650/701 cyl. the 62t also has larger exhaust manifold bolts. if you just drill the bolts out larger in the manifold, you more than likely will have a water leak.

that pipe is for a yamaha 650. For the 701 I would just go for the B-pipe.
