Next BIG NORCALSTANDUPCREW ride!!!!!!

Hey guys, we HAVE TO have another BIG NORCALSTANDUPCREW ride. Let's start the planning and let's make it BIG!!!!! I've gotten a lot of feedback from lots of you on what we should do for our next ride. Here are some of the ideas people have thrown out and I'd like to get everyone's feedback on what we all think we should do.

1. I really think each year we should have 1 (maybe 2) HUGE ride days. Maybe a smaller 1 day one at the beginning of the season (like our April 25th ride day) and then an ENORMOUS one in August each year. The large one should be a Friday-Sunday event. We can promote this ride throughout the year so riders from all over NorCal (not just the Bay Area) can attend.

2. Although we don't have all year for this one coming up, I think we should still do a 3 day event.

3. Instead of doing it in the Delta, we should do it a a lake. Berryessa, Tulloch, New Melones, Don Pedro, Salt Springs, Lake Sonoma, Folsom, Camp Far West and others have all been mentioned. Please tell us what lake you think would be best.

4. I'm thinking late August would be a good time. Not conflicting with the DJSA.

5. We should be able to get a few boats.

6. We should be able to get some buoys for some unofficial racing.

Those are some of my thoughts. Please share yours.

THANKS!!!!1

Berryessa, Folsom, or New Melones are going to be the biggest, cleanest lakes, as well as central locations for majority of the memebers. if bouys are going to be popular we might want to hit Eastpark Res, dont want any tickets for creating a closed course situation on public waters??

A lake that you can camp next to the water, launch from camp and keep your vehicle at camp.

Modesto Res. or Woodward Res. could work too!

My vote is for the Delta though. Centrally located for all and you are not in a BIG POND all day/weekend.

For buoys it COULD work. Not that I would want to go to either one.

Re: Next BIG NORCALSTANDUPCREW ride!!!!!!

I am in all the way and will come with the entire fleet. (RN, SN, B1)

My suggestions:

1. MUST be a Norcal lake as we are the Hosts and we should promote what we have here.

2. Friday to Sunday event or 2 night staying with the "Official" riding and BBQ on Saturday ALL DAY.

3. MUST be able to camp next to the water hopefully within sight of the skis

4. Get a catchy name for the event and repeat every year just like the freedom ride event, we can poll the names.

My 2 cents......"Standupalooza"

All this, of course, is just IMHO.
