Re: Any Norcalstandupcrew going Blowsion Surf Slam!?

I'm flying up to announce for the event, and show my boyfriend around the beautiful Central Oregon coast (this will be his first visit...hopefully he'll be racing too), and I'm sure Cuong, Jared and some of the other Bay Area freeriders will be headed that way. I know Taylor (Curtis) is also going, along with a big contingency from the central coast of Cali. I'm looking for someone to to take my ski & beach cart up and back from Sacramento (will pitch in on fuel) i case you're driving and have room?

There are only a couple of small motels there in the quaint, seaside village, so you probably want to go ahead and book something soon. Most of us normally rent houses and the local agencies have everything from inexpensive cottages to full blown MTV-ish cribs for rent. For the past 10 years, Blowsion hosted the private, invite only Beach Party. It wasn't a competition at all...just a giant group of friends that got together every fall, rode surf for three days, ate great food and partied, sang kareoke and put silly shenanigans on one another. Generally speaking, there was about 175 people in attendance I'd say.

This year it's a full blown, International Freeride Watercraft Association/IJSBA sanctioned competition which will include a surf race as well as freeride competition. I'm pretty sure attendance will really step up. I'll guess at 300 people easy....so yes, the town will fill up quick.

Hope to see ya there,
Lisa

If you dont find anyone to haul your ski for you and i go i'd be happy to haul it. Im up in Jackson so not too far from sac at all. No worries on gas either since id be going up there anyhow
