Whats up

Hello Indy riders... I just wanted to stop in say he to everyone. I live up in Anderson and just moved back from Orlando and now back in the area. I assume most of you guys ride in Morse or Geist ? I've got a couple of skis that I've been building over the last month that should be ready by spring. I currently have a 95 Raider "1200" ...and also my 96 Blaster 1. Both skis are completely modded and I love to ride so if anyone want's to hook up send me a PM or something.

Take care,
Mike

Re: Whats up

Hey Mike! Well, to be honnest, we ride all over! But throught the week, we ride a lot in the White River and launch from Broad Ripple Park. It is free to launch there and we have a lot of fun running buoys and jumping wakeboard boat wakes. We've generally stayed away from Geist as the water quality there has been sub par lately. Something about getting a rash and having itchy skin after riding is highly unappealing! You should come down to our IPWOA meeting in the begining of March! We have a growing group of guys and always have a great time! We have some scheduled trips being planned for Lake Monroe and Dale Hallow. I bet we'll be making a few trips up to Lake Michigan as well. My g/f owns a house about 30-40 minutes from there, so I'll be riding quite a bit up there. It's as close as most of us will be getting to the ocean this year! It's a lot of fun! Oh! And Dave likes to make up new freestyle moves when he rides! Just ask him how to pull off a 12:01!!!

Re: Whats up

what's up. Regarding Morse and Geist.......I stayed away from them during the summer, they just get too nuts and what does it cost to launch, $30 or something? And no beaches to pull up to.

I prefer the State park reservoirs, the closest to you is Missessenawa (sp?), and that is a beautiful reservoir.

I spend most of my time on Huntington and Salamonie because I live up north now....

Re: Whats up

Yeah we have a place on Silver lake that we can ride them. I was just looking for something local for testing etc....that is jet ski friendly before making the long drive up there. It's a hike and since both my skis are built....there is a chance something could need tweaked a little. I also have multiple set ups for rough water and glass water that I need to do some work with before my large ride with other folks in the midwest "races". I know Mikey you said something about Broad Ripple park. Is the water there pretty much like glass or is it rough?

It's generally glass. When the wakeboard boats come through occasionally you'll get a wave or two. Parts of the river the wakeboard boats don't touch so it's smooth sailing. I will say if you get much above 60 m.p.h out there it can get a bit dicey if you were to lose control. It's a bit narrow.

Re: Whats up

Yeah the raider will run well beyond that and even over 70mph...but I'm used to tight stuff from the little streams we rode in in Orlando. Where do you put in at at Broad ripple?

Broad Ripple park. There's a ramp just to the left when you turn in there. You'll see the pool house for the pool when you pull in. The ramp is on the left side of it.
