Wabash River this year.

Let's try to do the Wabash River this year. I found access sites to launch and retrieve. We'll have to find places to get fuel, and build a rack to carry at least one gas on a sitdown. We'll have to find gas stations close to the water.

Re: Wabash River this year.

Hello everybody.....we created the website www.WabashRiver.us and on there we have visited, photographed, and mapped the entire wabash.

The entire river was mapped using google earth. So you can click on the gas station layer and see exactly where every single gas station is on the whole river!

So you can easily calculate your trip!

Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions (just e-mail me throught the site)

I was think Lafayette to Terra Haute, or perhaps even down to the Ohio.

I don't believe there are any dams on the Wabash south of Lafayette.

Sounds like fun, what date do we want to try this. I would think earlier summer as the water level is generally higher. My vote is for May 30-31 or June 6-7th. Great site above thanks.

I wouldn't be able to do either weekend. The Memorial Day ride is the weekend before the 30th so I'll need some time to recoup. And the 6-7th I'm heading down to Tennessee to ride Norris.
