Well...it looks like the 701 blew yesterday. I'm suspecting an air leak in the lower cases. I haven't quite decided if I want to just put the old 650 back in the SJ or if I want to go ahead and put it in the WR500. It's a little dissapointing that I didn't even get it completely tuned yet and it bit the dust. I'll start digging into it here in a week or so. The WR needs some ignition components and the VXR isn't plated and I'm trying to sell it. Looks like I'll just be riding jet skis in video games...at least for a little while!

Sounds like he just had a seizure...which means he will likely just need a top end bore/hone and piston kit. It depends on what happend and how bad it is. I've not seen it yet and I don't think Mike has taken it apart.

I am out of town with Kara this weekend, so I've not yet had a chance to dig into it. I think that after it blew, I needed a few days away from it. I've got three skis, and I can't ride one of them! One runs...but not legal on the water. One has electrical issues. And the other....well......

Ummmm....no. LOL! Actually, I am putting the 650 back in the SJ tonight. I am going to put the twin 38's on there though instead of the single 44. Maybe advance the timing a tad too.

I should be at the river tomorrow after work! I got the 650 back in the SJ tonight! I couldn't fit the 38's on it though. It would of worked if it was at 61X, but not on a 62T. I advanced the timing and got a few other bugs worked out. So barring bad weather or any other unforseen circumstances, I'll be in Ripple around 4-4:15ish!
