Good Shop in Central Indiana

Hey guys I knew to PWCToday and jet skiis in general and I am in need of a good shop to take an older sea doo. I have a 1994 SP that is giving me fits. I haven't given up on fixing it myself but if there is a good shop in the Kokomo area I might at least call and see what they say.

Anyone have good experience with a shop in Central, Indiana.

Fortunately I also purchased a 1999 Polaris SLX that is running great. I have had both skiis for about a month or so and the Sea Doo isn't running right. I have a seperate thread going for trying to fix it.

Thanks again,

Joe

Greenfield motorsports is the way to go. They are honest, and a pleasure to deal with. It'll be a bit of a drive from Kokomo, but I assure you it's worth it. http://www.greenfieldmotorsports.com/

Re: Good Shop in Central Indiana

Mike,

Here is the thread I started 2 weeks or so ago. As of Tuesday I took it to Salmonie, it started, took off strong and then died. It cranked but wont fire, didn't seem to be trying at all. I checked for spark and it seemed weak. I parked the trailer and road my Polaris for an hour or so, when I got back I tried to start the Sea Doo I could tell if was going to start but the battery crapped out.

Today, 15 minutes ago, I put a freshly charged battery in and it fired right up. What it does once it hits the water may be another story.

I figure it is possible the battery was weaker than I thought, I messed with it for a while before it started running again. Maybe I fixed my intial problem of no spark, but ran the battery down in the process. I doubt it.

I will run it over the weekend and keep you posted. I appreciate the offer and may take you up on it.

Thanks,

Joe

Re: Good Shop in Central Indiana

Mike,

I got the PM's. Unfortunately I haven't made it to the water to test anything out. Right now it starts and runs just fine in the driveway. I am going to Mississenawa or Salomonie this weekend so I should have a little time to work on it. I figure I would start it right before I take it down the ramp again just so I know it is starting. I also plan to buy two extra pair of spark plugs since they foul quickly and I have two fully charged batteries. Those with my spark tester, multimeter, and tool set should at least answer some questions.

I will post my findings in the thread.

Thanks,

Joe

Re: Good Shop in Central Indiana

Try Pulling spark plug wires from the boot that goes over the plug. Take some wire cutter and trim wire don't take to much off. Push wire back in boot, and try again. Might have to change plugs, due to a fouled plug . Not sure if this is your problem but its common with that 720 white seadoo motor . And won't cost you any $ to try! I bet thats your problem!
PM me what you find DZ
