Why the heck is this thread in the Hawaii Forum?

PWCs allowed in surf here only during high surf warnings in certain places/cases and if you are certified by the state to do so (two day course).

Just curious, I have family in Kauai. I can stay with them for a few months but I have no interest in going unless I am legally allowed to ride. Do I speak with lifeguards about getting a permit? Who do I contact? Anything helps.

I honestly don't think it's gonna happen. This state sucks in this respect.
