Hull Repair

I have a '07 FX-HO that needs hull repair. Hull material is SMC, which would require epoxy resin repair. Damage is from a point impact on the upper section of the hull but the crack on the inside of the hull runs about 18" x 6", between the rub rail and the footwell.

Does anyone know of a good and reasonable shop that can repair this? I don't want some unemployed dude working out of his mom's garage that can do a cash side job. I want references to a real shop.

Thanks.

Re: Hull Repair

Only thing I can think of is to try the Ding King. Won't be cheap though. You might have to remove the motor, etc first too.

What happened?

Re: Hull Repair

They are the biggest chain surfboard repair guys. They repair a lot of epoxy boards these days, so it may be cheaper than using a dealership...

So what happened??

Is that the new hull material, NanoXcell? If so I would appreciate hearing how the repair went. Everything I read sys a molded sheet of material not fiberglass. Not much information on repairing the material.

Thanks
