Good one Offroadie.
Shot an even bigger ulua today, but it ripped off after bending my (virgin) shaft and thrashing everything.

First ulua I've ever lost I think. It was just a bad situation all around, I should not have taken the shot. Too much current, too rough, too deep, no dive partner, blah, blah. Took me almost 2 hours just to get my gun back.
I also found some another big ulua, two omilus, three papios, all which I didn't shoot because they were either too small or they bused out of there before I could get to them. I also found several Kahalas (amberjacks) at a couple of the spots that practically swam right up to me and tried to impale themselves on my spear tip. I didn't want them though, so I shooed them away. Also saw shibis (young ahi tuna) and a bunch of other decent fish, none which I took a shot at. It was a pretty good day out there considering.
Have spare shaft, crimps, line, but not a spare shooting line bungee. Looks like I'm doing something else tomorrow.

The wife's gonna be happy to hear this.
