Re: set up wake

Here's how I do it.

-Go maybe 10-15 mph and make a big "L"
-Slide a 180 about 25 feet away from where the the wakes meet and form the L
-Come back to where they meet but don't come straight at it. Come it slightly to the left

Re: set up wake

I do the same, but depending on the trick, I'll either make the set up wake wider or closer, and I'll either come back to it quicker or farther.

Same, I do it a little bigger for stabs or rolls, but for ball buster and tricks where I don't need to go as fast, I make it super tight and instead of a 90 degree angle I'll make it more like 70

Re: set up wake

i set up myself at that point right between planing and not and im 280lbs so i make a decent wake dragging the back of the ski like that, but follow the same pattern as everyone else. then on my u turn to hit it I just yank the throttle and go

power has nothing to do with a setup wake. i do more of a V than an L with my weight as far back as possible.. works for me... practice your prehop timing. it took me alot longer to learn how to time my prehop to the wake than it did to learn stabs and stuff

Re: set up wake

Here is a video of the perfect "setup wake," hope it helps. It's all timing... and practice.
