sbt crank with scratch on seal location, ect

So I picked a never used rebuit sbt crank (welded and sbt rods) on ebay for my 750 sxi only to take a look at it today and see that on one side the crank shaft has a small scratch on it where the crank seal rides on. Its small but I can feel it with my finger nail, I'm concern that this small scratch might ruin my crank seal. What do you guys think? if the crank has a very small scratch is the crank no good or is there a glue like super glue to just fill in the scratch or perhaps its no big deal? Secondly one of the lobes is dented in almost like it had been hammered or damaged when the crank went out the first time. It looks operational with it as long as sbt ballanced it correctly I don't know though....has anyone else received a crank like this from sbt or has any concerns running a crank like this? They told me this crank was like brand new, go figure lol!!

thanks for feedback!!!!

yeah I figured it might be jacked. I'll talk to sbt tomorrow and see what they say then depending on what they say comes the fun of trying to return it to the guy. Its really frustrating when you specifically email the person on it before you buy it and they say its just like new only to find out its no good. I hope the guy is cool with returning only I just know I'm going to get f'ed with $60 in shipping as I paid $30 just to get to my place and now sending it back to him.

Re: sbt crank with scratch on seal location, ect

It may have got that way when the McDonald's wage worker dropped it as he was taking a pry bar to it get the old crank seals off it? What possessed you to even buy a crank from an outfit like that...do you NOT read these forums? You get what you pay for in this industry. You can polish a turd all you want, its still a turd. SEND it back to the ebay guy, you have 30 days with paypal...tell him the thing is garbage and you want your money back. Then get a crank redone the right way, no crap rods and ugly stupid welds that you don't need....I'm just sayin. Sorry to be so blunt, I hate those 3 letters....you know which ones.

Which ones? SBT? The same company that owns this site?

I've actually used several of their crankshafts and been very happy with them.
