| Re: Q8 flatwater backflip Lol, no. The reason I say that is because back flipping isn't all in the ski. It's all in the rider. You've got to have commitment and skill. LOTS of friggen' skill. If you want to back flip, then get a full carbon hull, with a 1000cc motor, and spend a season or two doing nothing but trying to back flip every other day. Not trying to shoot down your dreams, but that's how the sport is. You'll never flat water backflip with a stock 750. It will never happen. Malone has a video where he backflips a Q8 with a 800, and I think it had a pipe, but he barely got around. It was dirty, but it was a flip. But Eric is an INCREDIBLE rider. 8x World Champion, and he barely got a flip in with a 800. That's saying quite a bit. And I wouldn't expect to be flipping any time soon if I were you. Your still young. I'm also 16, but if all goes as planned, I should be back flipping by Nationals in September, but I've been jet skiing for a long time now, and I ride all the time. It's not going to be easy, by any means, but I think that I have enough skill for it, and my 2010 freestyle set up will easily be able to flip. I just need to practice on it.
Not trying to shoot down your dreams, I'm just answering a VERY common question that pops up in this forum A LOT. If your serious about flipping, then get a part time job, put the money into a bank to let the interest build up, and maybe start building a good motor and get a light hull in a few years. It's not going to be easy. It wasn't easy for me to get where I am now, but it was totally worth it. |
